Absolutely. It was important for me to embrace the idea that I’m not supposed to feel good or blissful or happy all the time. It’s okay to sit in my feelings with anxiety or frustration or confusion. I don’t have to try to solve them or drown them with drugs or alcohol. It’s okay to not understand what I’m feeling sometimes. It’s okay to need time to figure out what’s happening inside of me.
