Exactly. I don't think forgiveness even really exists. Unless it just amounts to a best effort to move past something. If it means "not actively holding a grudge" then I guess it exists. But people have this mistaken idea that forgiveness is tantamount to not only forgetting but having "things" be just as they were. No one forgets, and "things" will never be as they were.
