Hands down, one of the best writers to ever do it. A more advanced version of Hemingway. If Hemingway and Faulkner had a child it would be McCarthy. Just a fascinating person too. I took several moments of silence when I found out about his passing. I can think of no other single author I held and hold in such high regard.
