I don’t know the why. Lack of training. Lack of teaching. Lack of a lot of things. What I do know absolutely? No human owns another human. A mother doesn’t own a son. A husband doesn’t own a wife. Until we return to a common baseline for respect and the fundamentals of boundaries as simple as yes and no and the sanctity of the human body, there will be no change.
