The fucking arrogance of therapists sometimes to talk about choice in the face of egregious shit. I get it, we have choice in what we do with it. The reality is that trauma literally embeds in physical fabric of your being. It literally embeds in your psyche and in your spirit. There's more to it than some dissociated choice.
