This annoyed me the first time I encountered it, but I've since become very enthralled by the minimalistic styles. I really like the idea of stripping away punctuation and allowing the reader to interpret the fundamental bones of the written word. Somehow it seems to make the writing more dynamic. Alive. Energetic. I loved it in McCarthy's work.
