Wow Vicki. This really impacted me. First, it was just full of life. Life doesn't observe rules or the social geometries we create in our heads. Second, I fell in love (at the age of 23) with a 41 year-old woman. It was quite an experience. Life and love and why and when and how are all so complicated. We act as though these things should be predictable. I am glad that he understood what you'd want and need and was selfless enough to allow you to find it.
