Yeah. A lot of people don’t understand what feminism really was. (I can’t speak for whatever it’s become.) I struggle with this. I mean I understand what you’re saying here. I struggle with anything that makes a competition and numbers game out of epidemics. Tens of thousands are dying by suicide. The gender matters for research, for data, not for compassion. I returned from Afghanistan and attempted with a bottle of pills. I had other bad nights, struggled with alcoholism, use, and various mental diagnoses. It makes me sad that people would rather argue the validity of their sex by exploring which is hurting more. We are all hurting. Humans hurt. It’s part of the human experience, and I think we need to begin navigating that with more uniform compassion and understanding. I appreciate you speaking on this topic and generating conversation.
